Roxette est un groupe qui voit le jour en 1984 à Halmstad en Suède.

Formé du guitariste Per Gessle & de la chanteuse Marie Fredriksson, le groupe squatte la tête des chats en 1988 avec le single 'The Look", véritable bombe outre-atlantique qui s'en suit de "It Must Have Been Love" sur la B.O de Pretty Woman, qui marquera toute une époque.
