Le groupe funk Freeez se forme en Angleterre, dirigé par John Rocca et composé en plus de Peter Maas (basse), Andy Stennet (synthé), et Paul Morgan (drums).

En Aout 1983, ils sortiront "I.O.U", produit par Arthur Baker sur Beggars Banquet Records qui figurera sur la B.O du film de breakdance "Beat Street" en 1984.

En 2002, la chanteuse Américaine Brandy se permet de sampler le synthé de I.O.U pour l'intro de son morceau "Full Moon".
